Forest Dispatch is a small independent desk, and this policy is short because we collect very little. It explains what we keep, why, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the email address you give us and the date you gave it. If you email the desk, we keep the message and our reply. That is the entire list of personal data this site collects.
What we do not collect
There are no analytics scripts, advertising pixels or session recorders on this site. We do not build profiles of readers, and we do not track which articles you open or how long you spend on them.
Cookies
This site sets no marketing or analytics cookies. Any cookie present is strictly functional, for example remembering a dismissed notice, and contains no identifier used to follow you elsewhere.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or share subscriber addresses. Newsletter delivery is handled by a single processor acting on our instructions, and messages from sources are kept confidential and never passed on without consent.
Your rights
You can ask to see everything we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the desk and we will act within thirty days. Unsubscribing removes your address from the newsletter list immediately.
