River crossings on the southern access route.
A week of heavy rain has left two river crossings on the southern access route impassable, delaying resupply for three field camps in the Kanuku Mountains Protected Area.
No one is in danger. The camps hold enough fuel and dry stores for another ten days, and the teams have been asked to stay on high ground until the water drops.
The wet season has arrived later than usual this year, which has extended the window for ground surveys but shortened the window for moving equipment.
